Lace 2.5 is here for the browser extension!
This release brings improvements to ADA sending, DApp signing and wallet syncing, alongside an update for Midnight users.
Here's what's new.
Generate DUST from cNIGHT
We mentioned this was on the way in 2.4, and now it's here.
You can now designate cNIGHT held in your Cardano account to a Midnight address to generate DUST, directly from Lace.
Choose your destination, review the transaction and confirm. All without leaving your wallet.
Smoother ADA sends
We've improved how Lace handles ADA transactions when some of your balance is held in staking rewards.
Lace now uses your available ADA first, and can automatically include eligible staking rewards when needed to complete a transaction. If rewards need to be withdrawn, you'll see this clearly on the review screen before confirming.
We've also improved error messages when there isn't enough ADA to cover both the transaction and network fee, so it's easier to understand why a send can't go through.
Clearer DApp signing errors
When something goes wrong while signing a DApp transaction, a generic error message isn't particularly helpful.
We've made it easier to get the details you need. You can now copy more detailed error information to share with support, helping us identify and resolve issues more quickly.
A better way to reset wallet sync
We've updated the existing wallet sync option to give you a more complete refresh when something doesn't look right.
You'll now find Reset wallet sync within each individual account, allowing you to refresh the specific account that's experiencing issues.
The updated option goes beyond rediscovering addresses. It also refreshes locally stored transaction data, token information and activity, helping your account get back in sync.
