This release is a big one, as we introduce governance through the addition of CIP-95 – Lace is now Chang-ready, on the preview network. That means ADA holders can get even more involved in the Cardano ecosystem through Lace. Plus, we’ve introduced a smoother interface, and a host of bug fixes. Read on…
Now you can take part in governance
Our big reveal is that Lace is about to play an even more important role in the Cardano ecosystem. Say hello to CIP-95, which means ADA holders can now participate in governance through their wallets using the GovTool (https://preview.gov.tools/) developed by Intersect.
You can now easily register to become a delegated representative (DRep), or if you prefer, delegate your voting power to another DRep. We’re taking huge steps to make Lace a fundamental part of Cardano’s governance in the future, so watch this space. Exciting times!
Lace just got even smoother
We’ve improved the performance of Lace 1.14 by streamlining the background updates to reduce memory usage. What does that mean for you? A smoother, more optimized user experience with your stake pools updated even faster.
Bug fixes make staking easier
We’ve also fixed a few bugs this time around. Now, when you de-register a stake key, it’s labeled as that, along with the correct returned deposit amount displayed in your wallet – so you can better keep track of your staking. Plus, any users with more than one account will now see the correct delegations in Overview when you switch accounts. Result!
